  • On May 3rd I visited Mrs Irena Skorupska’s weaving studio in Kamianki-Czabaje. Mrs Irena is in her 80s, but still active as a traditional weaver. It is a real weavers’ family. Her daughter, Magda Papakul also weaves, her granddaughters and even great-grandchildren can weave.
Apart from the family there were other weavers too – like ladies from weaving workshop in Hrud or Małgorzata Pepłowska, well known artist of Polish traditional doubleweave.
It’s good to see that weaving tradition is passed down to younger generation.
